Job Description

Requirements

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hamilton Justice Social Work Locality team and we are looking to recruit a part time Social Work Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with Social Workers to support service users in the community and promote public protection. The role will include support on a one to one and group basis for service users to promote their safety and wellbeing; address offending behaviour and promote positive outcomes.

The role requires a strong value base with a non-judgemental approach; excellent relationship building skills; an ability to work with partner agencies; strong verbal and written communication skills and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
The successful candidate should have an HNC or other relevant equivalent qualification in health and social care

Applicants should be willing to undertake any necessary training required for the role.

Responsibilities

Foreign Police Check
Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

Regulated Work with Protected Adults
