South Lanarkshire Council is an ambitious, high performing organisation with a clear vision and programme of action which is designed to improve the lives and prospects of everyone in South Lanarkshire.
The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire.
In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Team as a Project Manager focussing on the redesign of South Lanarkshire Council’s community alarm service.
The council has a well-established analogue to digital telecare programme and has begun its planned replacement programme of the approximately 7000 analogue telecare alarms currently installed in our community alarm service users’ homes. This provides the ideal opportunity to also redesign the current community alarm service delivery model to a reactive and anticipatory model.
This community alarm service redesign project will adopt the Scottish Approach to Service Design, an approach that aims to support and empower people of South Lanarkshire to actively participate in the definition, design and delivery of their community alarm service. The redesigned service will focus on prevention and self-management as well as providing appropriate and safe support/response in urgent situations.
The postholder will work closely with a wide range of key stakeholders and partners including community alarm service users, carers, the council’s care at home service and alarm receiving centre, health colleagues, third sector organisations, other community alarm services, and the national TEC programme.
The successful applicant will have a track record of project management and large change projects. Experience of health and social care, and the Scottish Approach to Service Design is desirable.
The post is temporary for 23 months.
