An opportunity has arisen for the part time position of social worker within South Lanarkshire Council’s Emergency Social Work Services. This service operates out with office hours and during Public Holidays. The service covers all service user groups across South Lanarkshire, including child care and adult and older persons. The post is 15hrs weekly spread over a 3 weekly rota; WK1 Fri 16:00 – 23:30, WK2 Sat & Sun 07:45 – 17:45, WK 3 Sat & Sun 07:45 – 17:45hrs.
Applications are invited from experienced social workers who have completed appropriate training including Child Protection / Adult Protection. Candidates must be able to demonstrate competence and confidence in risk assessment and problem solving in addition to having positive relationship development skills and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to provide professional advice and guidance for individuals, families and groups within the community working in partnership with appropriate agencies on behalf of clients where this is required. A commitment to quality assurance and achieving better outcomes in service delivery is expected.
