In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.
To be responsible to the Executive Director, Health and Social Care Partnership, for the management of the Transitional Care Facility. Have responsibility for the development and the ongoing review of the service operations, policies and procedures relevant to the Service, as required by the Care Inspectorate, Healthcare Improvement Scotland and other regulatory agencies in order to achieve continuous improvement and improved outcomes for service users.
To ensure the most effective utilisation of all resources, with particular reference to the appropriate deployment of staff to best meet the needs of people receiving care while complying with Fire Safety and Care Inspectorate standards on registered staffing levels.
To contribute and ensure compliance with a quality assurance framework, including performance standards.
You must hold the Registered Managers Award or equivalent and (Diploma in Social Work or Professional Nursing, Education or Youth and Community Work Qualification or SVQ Care Level 4).
You will be registered with Scottish Social Services Council or National Midwifery Council or an alternative professional body.
As part of our approach to good practice and safer recruitment we carry out a number of pre-employment checks for example, Identity, Asylum and Immigration and employment history.
Foreign Police Check
Candidates should be able to detail any gaps in employment and provide a foreign police check where applicable for any periods living or working abroad.

Regulated Work with Protected Adults
This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults.
Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council.
