The aim of Social Work Resources is to promote social welfare and provide effective care and support to meet the needs of vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire.
In partnership with community planning partners, voluntary and independent provider organisations, we offer a range of services designed to enable, support, improve and protect the health and social care of people using our services.
South Lanarkshire Council has delivered its own Emergency Social Work Service since 31 March 2009. This service operates out with office hours and during Public Holidays. The service covers all service user groups across South Lanarkshire, including child care, adult and older persons and homecare.
You will work on a 3 weekly rota. There is also an ‘On Call’ requirement with this post.
Applications are invited from Team Leaders and experienced social workers who have completed appropriate training – e.g. Child Protection, JIIT, Adult Protection, and Appropriate Adult – and who are confident and experienced in the use of SWiSplus. Candidates must be able to demonstrate good leadership, risk assessment, decision making, and team building skills. They must also have a commitment to quality assurance.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated leader, with a flexible approach to service delivery, to extend and develop his/her knowledge and experience across all client groups.
All applicants must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council and hold a Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent.
