Housing & Technical Resources has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to undertake the role of Security Co-ordinator within Property Services.
We deliver an integrated property management service based on strong links between our Building Services, Consultancy Services and Assets & Estates Sections. The Post Holder will also be expected to liaise on a daily basis with Police Scotland and other Services throughout the Council, therefore having the ability to interact constructively with a variety of stakeholders and partners is an essential requirement of the post.
In this role you be responsible for providing corporate advice and support on security matters in relation to the management of the Councils various property portfolios. This will include implementing and reporting on security related policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will also be responsible for supervising and co-ordinating activity relating to the delivery of the CCTV service including administration of CCTV maintenance contracts and management of the security budget.
The successful candidate will have a background in disciplines relating to security and is expected to have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of current legislation and best practice as well as to keep appraised of proposed changes. It is expected that the post holder will be able to manage and mediate operational problems to a successful conclusion, including staff co-ordination and management.

The ability to travel throughout South Lanarkshire is essential for the post.
Membership of the Security Institute or equivalent is desirable.
