Children’s Residential Service – Shift Leader – Team Leader – Social Care
The Role :
Your role as a Residential Shift Leader will be to operate within the guidelines set out by the Organisation and assist in the Organisation’s commitment of providing the highest standard of care possible for the young people they look after. You will be expected to assist the Registered Manager to manage an efficient team by undertaking supervisory responsibilities and taking a lead role in incident response.
You will be expected to participate in the day-to-day running of the home, in accordance with the Organisation’s objectives and guidelines. Reporting where necessary to the Registered Manager.
As a Shift Leader your role is about supporting your Manager and Team Leader (deputising in their absence) whilst working with a team of Support Workers. The right candidate will provide a safe, stable, stimulating and caring non-institutionalised environment in order to provide a high standard of quality care which meets individual young people’s needs.

The Package :
Upon joining this industry leading organisation, you will receive a basic salary of £24,500 – £26,500 depending on experience, which is inclusive of a £33 a night sleep-in. You will benefit from their internal training program and will have the opportunity to achieve additional qualifications in care. You will also benefit from their pension plan and more as part of their benefits package.
What you need :
Applicants will need to hold the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare qualification (or relevant equivalent). Successful candidates must hold a valid driving licence. You must have a want to progress within the Social care sector and be open to additional Social Care educational training. Having a background in working with EBD and LD is a must.
