Job Description

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and the East District Housing Office, 169 Pitkerro Road, you will work Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have an HND/SVQ4 or equivalent (SCQF Level 8) in a relevant subject area eg architect, engineer, quantity or building surveyor.

Responsibilities

You will provide strategic leadership and management of the Housing Asset Service and to work as a member of the Housing and Construction and Neighbourhood Services Extended Management Teams, and lead appropriate corporate activities on behalf of Dundee City Council.

The Individual

You will have experience of managing staff in a Housing Asset role.

You will have Technical background either as Architect, Engineer, Quantity or Building Surveyor.

You will have significant experience, knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements relating to Housing in Scotland. Experience of managing a budget, working in a multi disciplinary/ partnership setting.

You will have excellent administration/report writing skills, excellent communication skills, leadership skills, the ability to motivate staff, organisational and project planning skills, an innovative practitioner and strategic thinker, capable of taking/exercising responsibility and time management with the ability to self-manage and work in a context of high expectations within tight deadlines.
