We are currently recruiting for a caring Senior Support Worker, supporting Children and young people, to work for an excellent and well established client based in the Fareham and surrounding areas. Our client specialises in the care and support for children and young people, offering high quality therapeutic care.

Your new role

As a Children’s Senior Support Worker, you will be supporting the team in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, supportive and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, emotional and physical development so that they realise their full potential. This is an extremely rewarding and very important role as you will be contributing to their continuing development, whilst ensuring they feel safe and well cared for.

What you’ll need to succeed

It is essential that you have a minimum of six months experience supporting children or young people in a residential or similar setting. You will be a kind, caring, cheerful, hardworking and a reliable individual who enjoys making a difference to people’s lives. You will help to encourage young people and other staff members, always creating a positive environment. You will have completed your Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be committed to completing this once you have joined the company. Having a driving license is also desirable but is not a deal breaker.

You must be flexible and be willing to work shift patterns, including weekends and bank holidays.
