You will be working for a local authority located west of central London that is looking to welcome experienced locum social workers to their community. To ensure that their children receive regular, high-quality practice and interventions, Slough has started a journey toward progress. You will be part of a small team, contributing to the Improvement Plan and achieve a measurable impact on the quality of the service.

Your new role
As a Senior Social Worker, You will take a strong role in team meetings so that they are efficient and effective.
You will be responsible for managing a complex and independent workload, ensuring legislative requirements are met to a high standard and within required timescales. You will promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of the child / young person at all times and through all aspects of work.

What you’ll need to succeed

• At least 3 years post qualifying experience as a social worker with demonstrable experience in complex or specialist casework
• Effective verbal and oral communication
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to use a range of interventions effectively and evaluate them in practice to ensure that the correct outcomes are achieved
• Acceptance and commitment to the principles of human rights and equality and how they underpin practice
