Senior Social Worker
North West Locality

Salary: £38,340 – £45,385
Hours: 36 per week

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead a team of our Social Workers and be a key part of the leadership team in NW Locality.

This is an important role and the successful individual must have the ability to quickly build positive, productive relationships with both Social Workers and peers. You will be highly motivated, proactive and have good leadership skills.

There will also be a focus on Quality Improvement and learning and development for this post holder, ensuring our teams are providing high quality, safe and effective care and support to the people of North West Edinburgh.

We operate in a busy city team, as such the ideal post holder must have the ability to undertake thorough scrutiny of referrals and workload management for a busy and dynamic service.

This is an ideal opportunity to continue gaining managerial experience within a busy and challenging yet stimulating and supportive environment. There are 2 posts one within our duty team and one within our cluster team.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.  For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
