You will become a part of a community of experienced professionals, working together to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.

Your new role
You will be able to work remotely working as a locum social worker (MASH team), completing assessments of the needs of children and their families. You will be expected to report any concerns relating to any possible risks to a vulnerable child in accordance with the agreed safeguarding procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of strengths-based social work with children, including safeguarding
• Handling sensitive information and working with confidentiality
• Ability to hold difficult conversations about child protection concerns
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with people in a variety of ways and levels
• Work on own initiative to manage own activities and contribute to longer term activities / plans. Creativity and innovation is a feature of the job along with ability to interpret general guidelines to resolve issues
• Accountability at all levels
• Customer care and responsibility
• Continuous learning, evaluation and self-reflection

• A competitive salary: QSW £35-38 per hour; Senior QSW £40 – £43 per hour
