36 hrs per week – Fixed Term until 31 March 2024 + 14% shift allowance

You will work as part of a management team providing leadership and supervision to a group of staff within a Care Home for older people.

You will be responsible for leading a team of staff to ensure that a high standard of care and support is delivered in keeping with regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines.

You will be responsible for the co-ordination and auditing of care plans and lead the assessment and review process for individuals.

Responsible for the day to day management of staff rotas and annual leave of the staff team and take an active part in managing sickness and absence of staff.

You will take an active part in medication management including administering, ordering and auditing medications for individuals as prescribed.

Previous experience in a management / care setting; SVQ 3 in health and social care or equivalent and a management qualification are essential to meet SSSC registration requirements for the Supervisory Register.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
