Senior Housing Strategy & Policy Officer – STR06802 Full Time

Job Description

Stirling Council’s Housing Service is seeking an experienced housing professional for the role of Senior Housing Strategy & Policy Officer to lead on the delivery and monitoring of the Local Housing Strategy to ensure the future housing needs of the Stirling Council area are met for all.

The role will also involve researching and preparing the Housing Needs & Demand Assessment that feeds in to both the Local Housing Strategy and the Strategic Housing Investment Plan. The role also involves reviewing and responding to national housing policy and legislative proposals and assisting with the implementation of new housing policy and legislative requirements at a local level.

You will work collaboratively with other organisations including with local Registered Social Landlords, Stirling Council Planning Services, Loch Lomond & Trossachs Nation Park Planning Authority, Housing Service Teams and the Scottish Government and co-ordinate the research and preparation of key strategic and housing policy documents.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing housing strategies and housing policy to meet local and national requirements working collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners. You will have excellent organisational, research and influencing skills as well as experience in communication with different stakeholders.
