The Community Safety team at Stirling is seeking to recruit a self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills to provide manage the Anti-Social Behaviour Investigation Service. The service deals with tenure neutral anti-social behaviour complaints across the Council area, and includes the specialist investigation officers and management of our CCTV control room. This role works alongside the Environmental Enforcement arm of the service and cross working between the two parts of the service is essential.
Reporting to the Community Safety Team Leader, you will undertake a wide range of duties in accordance with statutory and predetermined procedures, including line management of operational staff, working to tight deadlines and agreed performance targets within a pressurised environment and often working with sensitive information.
You will be involved in dealing with, and providing advice to, senior officers, elected members, colleagues across the Council, stakeholders and partner agencies. It is essential that you possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering sustainable solutions in addition to a high standard of customer service.
You will be required to perform with limited supervision, therefore, it is essential that you work in a highly professional manner, exercising confidentiality and discretion at all times and have the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and demands within the service.
Ideally, you will have experience in a Community Safety or Anti-Social Behaviour or a related regulatory field and have experience of leading a team to deliver on sustainable outcomes. In addition working knowledge of ASB procedures, policies and strategy is desirable. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and have a flexible approach to using new technology.
