SEN Teaching Assistants needed – South Yorkshire – Temporary
Your new company
Hays Education are one of the largest recruitment companies in the UK. Hays Education in Sheffield provide Teaching Assistant and Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant support to schools in South Yorkshire, Chesterfield and Worksop on a short-term and long-term basis.
Your new role
SEN TA roles can cover a variety of different elements. You may be working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis, supporting children and young adults from 0 to 21 in or out of the classroom. Jobs can be to support students academically or vocationally, or could be more pastoral or life skills led.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to register with Hays you need to have worked with children and young people aged 0 to 21 years old for at least 40 days in the last 2 years. This doesn’t have to be in a school setting! SEN experience is preferable but not essential. A valid, enhanced DBS that is on the update service is essential (or the willingness to pay for a new one). As these roles are temporary, you need to be immediately available for work.
What you’ll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive rate of pay and the opportunity to work in a variety of schools across South Yorkshire dependant on your preferences. You will also benefit from a dedicated Hays consultant who you will meet with virtually prior to registering. Hays also offer a £250 “Refer A Friend” scheme so if you know any others who are also immediately available and looking for work, please pass our details to them and you may be eligible for the vouchers!
