We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Reviewing Service and provide an effective Reviewing Officer (RO) service for vulnerable children and young people in Stirling.
The focus of the service will primarily be with children and young people who are subject to statutory measures and in complex Looked After circumstances, are Looked After and Accommodated and/or subject to Child Protection concerns. Alongside this tasking the RO’s also lead on reviews for respite for Children with Disability, Kinship placements and other professional meetings in accordance with statutory regulation, guidance and Stirling Council procedures.
The post holder will work as part of a team of RO’s seeking to ensure high quality practice standards and promotion of positive outcomes, through key decision making and care planning, for vulnerable children and young people. The RO will provide lead direction, advice and professional guidance for staff across the service, carry executive decision making powers in review processes and contribute to performance management of the service and reporting on this.
Performance management will encompass statistical review and analysis and quality assurance work including case audit. As part of an Reviewing Service team the post holder will work to raise standards of service and practice and lead on projects to improve function, delivery and contribution of the RO service as a whole.
This post will have a particular focus on quality assurance and improvement within child protection.
