Based in the Throughcare and Aftercare Team, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

You will have a degree or equivalent in Social Work or other related profession eg Psychology, Community Education.
To undertake the assessment, preparation and planning for young people leaving local authority care, to help them develop the skills necessary for independence, and to provide advice, guidance and assistance to young people once they are no longer looked after.
You will have experience of direct work with young people and a working knowledge of Childcare and/or Throughcare and Aftercare. You will also have assessment skills, be able to work as part of a team, communicate with socially excluded young people, and be task orientated and motivated.
You must be willing to work flexible hours.
These posts are considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
