This new post is located within our Hospital Social Work team, based at the Queen Elizabeth and Gartnavel Royal Infirmary hospitals in Glasgow to support the delayed discharge agenda and performance management of Adults With Incapacity across the Social Work Hospital Team, OPMH inpatient beds and social work fieldwork. You will work provide support to the service to deal with matters relating to our primary function in terms of relevant legislation described below. The ability to work flexibly on a range of tasks with tight time scales is essential. The post holder will undertake duties as directed by the Team Leaders in order to enable Glasgow City HSCP to discharge its duties and responsibilities in relation to Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000). You will be able to demonstrate your capacity to work effectively with other agencies in particular Health and be able to meet tight statutory deadlines. You will be required to work agile which promotes mobile and flexible work practices and will operate throughout the Council area from any council premises. You will therefore be expected to travel throughout the whole Council area. It is essential that you have good communication and writing skills, with a positive, friendly, and approachable manner, and that you are flexible with an ability to work with partner agencies, and be computer literate. You will be required to record and monitor work using Carefirst and electronic case record systems. Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the department’s commitment to continuous improvement.
