Support Workers required for Long Days and Sleep Ins

Hays are looking for Support workers in the Coventry area to work on a temporary basis and willing to start work immediately. Your new role
Your new role as a Support Worker requires you to assist young people with their needs, problems and personal development. By providing the best specialist services, this organisation thrives to have effective change in the lives of young people. Your new role entails you developing good relationships, built on trust with the young people. You must be able to form a bond to effectively contribute to their risk assessment and care plans. You will need contribute to the education and social development of the young people. We are looking for the right Support Workers in the Coventry area that are flexible and willing to work long hours ie. 15hrs with an immediate start. This role will require you to do sleep in shifts. You are expected to stay overnight and assist the children when necessary. In this role requires you must be empathetic to the emotional and physical needs of the children, whilst having good communication skills to aid in nurturing and calming the young people.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role as a Support worker in the Coventry area you will need to have a passion to help nurturing young people. You will need to be a supportive and caring towards the young people and their needs. Encouraging the young people and aiding them towards independence is pivotal to helping them gain the life skills they need. You are required to work alongside therapists in aiding to progress their social and mental development. You must be able to provide evidence of your experience in the social care sector alongside references. Overall, you must have a passion to help nurture young people.

As well as working in your desired profession, in return you will receive £9.50 and hour with a bonus fee on sleep ins eg 7 Hours: £63.53.
