Are you a support worker looking for a full-time, permanent opportunity to work with young people who live in a residential home that is based in Erdington?
Highbridge Resourcing are recruiting for a passionate and reliable Support Worker who has a passion to work with children and young people (aged 8-18 years). You must have previous experience of working with children and young people in a supporting capacity.
Our client is an independent provider of children’s homes and support services for children and young people. It offers therapeutic care and support to vulnerable children and young people from across the West Midlands with emotional/behavioural needs.
The full-time role is 37.5 hours a week.
There is shift work involved Monday to Sunday and you will be required to undertake sleep in duties. Shifts are 10am-10pm with a sleep in and finishing at 10am the next morning.
Sleep in duties equate to approximately 8 a month.
Are you the person we are looking for? Do you have the following….
* A passion and desire to work with children and young people
* Experience working in a social care setting with children
* A valid UK driving license (essential)
* Patience, empathy and understanding
* NVQ level 2
* Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to record data accurately.
* The ability to work flexible working hours which includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
* A clean and enhanced DBS with no convictions or cautions.
