Residential Support Worker, Supported Living St Helens Temporary contract, flexible working immediate start

Your new company
Hays Recruitment are supporting an adult’s service provider in St Helen’s as they require motivated and reliable support workers to work with adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders.

Your new role
In your new position you will have the opportunity to cover a variety of different hours such as earlies, lates, and late sleep earlies. You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders in day-to-day life. You will be expected to build strong rapport with the service users as to ensure that their needs are at the heart of all operations. Your duties will include but are not limited to; attending key appointments, personal care, administering medication, social interaction and companionship, taking service users to points of interest including local parks, social events etc, encouraging independence, and building self-esteem.

What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be considered for the role you must have a minimum of 6 months referenceable experience supporting vulnerable adults in the last 2 years. Other desirable requirements are:

• A full UK driving license is advantageous but not essential
• Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not essential
