Location: Various Residential Children’s Homes across Aberdeen City
Duration: Permanent, Full Time
These posts represent an opportunity for practitioners who both have and seek to develop their interpersonal and relational skills in support of children and young people who have been impacted on by trauma. We have vacancies across our 3 children’s homes.
These posts also attract enhanced payments to reflect the shift work required.

The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Sound and current knowledge of theory and practice relevant to children and families
Ability to work effectively within a team and with a wide range of professionals to improve outcomes for children and young people
Ability to assess and manage risk
The ability to assess and communicate effectively with children and young people
Interviewing and investigation skills
Ability to support others to develop independent living skills including budgeting, wellbeing and education/learning and employability
Ability to manage constant and often conflicting demands
Ability to make decisions and take responsibility for own practice, seeking advice and support as necessary
Ability to accurately record and maintain records on our electronic systems
Ability to manage priorities, time and meet deadlines
Ability to develop, monitor and evaluate agreed outcomes
Advocate on behalf of children and young people by ensuring that their views are taken into account and that their rights are promoted and protected
Attention to detail; specifically the administration of service users’ medication, financial responsibilities and recording
