Children’s Residential Support Worker – Pembrokeshire – FULL TIME
Your new company
My client is looking for permanent children’s support workers to join their vibrant team in Pembrokeshire / Narberth. They are a residential children’s setting who focus on the therapeutic approach to emotional behaviour disorder and engage in educational and leisure activities to increase mental wellbeing and independence. While they are going through an expansion, you have the opportunity to implement your care skills in a new and motivated team to provide the best possible support to children between the ages of 8-18 on a permanent basis, those of which have complex behavioural needs which can be challenging.
Your new role
To provide outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
Understand and actively implement therapeutic approaches to complex behaviour
Liaising with families and support workers to ensure the best possible independent care plans are provided and carried out
Proactive approach to education and activity to improve key skills and self confidence.
Ensure clear communication with individuals via a range of methods and inspire them to carry out any tasks.
Engage in individual’s transitioning periods by nurturing them to become a functioning member of wider society
To make and maintain accurate records of activities and tasks carried out, including any incidents that may occur
Carry out general housekeeping duties, which may include elements of personal care
Apply safeguarding and protection to vulnerable individuals and ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone you support
Comply with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations
