Experienced Residential Childcare Worker needed for brand new service in the Wirral area
Your new company
I am working with a new service provider of children’s residential services in the Wirral. They are looking to recruit a number of experienced childcare workers for their new 4 bedded service to support children who have profound learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. They are looking for passionate and caring individuals who want to make a difference and improve the lives and outcomes of the children.
Your new role
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the home and report into the senior support worker and registered manager. You will ensure the young people have what they need and provide encouragement to them to achieve their goals. You will make sure the environment is suitable and sensitive for the needs of each of the young people in the service. More generally, you will be responsible for light domestic duties in the service as well as cooking meals and helping the children to get ready in the morning for school and for bed at night.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must have experience working within children’s residential services as well as be experienced working with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, You must be prepared to work on a rota basis as needed. You will ideally hold your QCF Level 3 CYPW qualification or be willing to undertake this. You will need to have a full UK driving license to be considered.
