Relief Social Care Worker

Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£13.43 / £14.77 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate

We are seeking to recruit an individual who is highly motivated towards providing high quality services to older people in our care home. The post holder will be required to undertake tasks as delegated by senior staff, but also need to be able to use their own initiative at times. The post requires adherence to Care Standards and Codes of Practice as well as a positive attitude towards optimum fulfilment of older peoples

Experience in care within a Care Home or Extra Care Housing is essential. you should hold a SVQ3 in Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with SSSC as a practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults. where this is not held, you should hold SVQ2 or equivalent qualification in Social Care and a requirement to achieve SVQ3 in Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with SSSC within a 5 year period.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
