Relief Social Care Assistant
Hours are offered on an as and when required basis
£14.53 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
A Shift Allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate
The Glaitness Centre is located in Kirkwall and comprises purpose built Supported Accommodation, Day Care Services and a Short Breaks facility for individuals with physical disabilities.
We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable, caring and enthusiastic individual to join our small and experienced team. The successful individual must work collaboratively with a person centered focus to deliver a high standard of care that aligns with the Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC Codes of Practice.
Ability to work well in a team and also lone working is essential, mentorship, support, full training and regular supervision will be given to the successful candidate.
You should hold an SVQ2 in Social Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC or achieve this within 5 years of appointment.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
