As a relief Sheltered Housing Officer with Aberdeenshire Council you will provide support and assist people to maintain their tenancy and live independently in their own accommodation, within a Sheltered Housing Scheme and as part of their local community.
There are Sheltered Housing Schemes located in various communities in and around Aberdeenshire, we are looking for keen individuals with a flexible approach to join the Sheltered Housing relief pool in Buchan, Banff & Buchan, Garioch & Formartine and Kincardine, Mearns & Marr. The working pattern is from 8.45am to 5.00pm between Monday and Friday, weekends from 9.00am to 1.00pm, for relief posts days can be variable. The successful candidate must have a valid driving license and willingness to travel. There are training opportunities that will be provided for the successful candidate.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
