Children’s Services Registered Manager Required for ASAP start in the Wirral – Learning Disabilities Service
Your new company
A brand new provider for children’s residential services is looking for an experienced manager to run their new home for children with learning disabilities in the Wirral area. The directors plan to open multiple services in the next 18 months with services providing care for children from age 8 – 17. Needs will include autism, learning disabilities and severe LD, therefore they are looking for someone with a strong background in this.

Your new role
The Registered manager will be responsible for the running of the service and the safety and well being of staff and service users. They will be accountable for all Ofsted requirements and will oversee the role of the deputy manager and senior support workers. They will take care of finances and budgets for the home, including payroll for staff and invoices. They will also be involved in the recruitment of new staff into the home, and be involved with ensuring staff training is up to date. As well as this, they will support the young people to achieve goals, and to achieve positive outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need to meet the following requirements. You must have 2 years minimum experience in a learning disabilities/autism children’s service with a strong knowledge and track record of Ofsted requirements.
The company will also consider someone who has been working in a deputy role and has been working in children’s service for at least 5 years (this can include experience as a senior support worker during some of that time).
