Registered manager wanted for children’s therapeutic home in Blackpool
Your new company
We are a well established organisation with a key focus on providing therapeutic care for children and young adults for children with different complex needs including EBD. Our team is very close-nit and is almost like a small family with a lot of the staff having been with the company for a long time. The home is a short term stay home with 4 beds. The service users we deal with are very low risk and with high chance of being place and settled in homes.
Your new role
As a registered manager you will need to be able to conduct assessment and produce reports for Ofsted inspections. The day to day running of the home will involve empowering management to be effectively lead and and be role models to staff. You will directly affect how successful the home is run by implementing structures and procedures to comply with Ofsted standards.
Regular meeting will have to be had to keep management up to date with changes, risk assessments, vetting process and necessary training that may become available for management . You will need to participate in recruitment process insuring the right candidates are employee that fit the company culture. You will be tasked with motivating staff through different tools like employee of the month, staff outing and regular check to insure that the staff are aware of training and development opportunities available
What you’ll need to succeed
As a registered manager, you will to have a passion for working with children and eager to help them with their complex needs. You will need to confidently lead a team and insure that a high standard of care of kept throughout the children and young adults time with the home. Preferably a successful candidate will need to show previous experience working under Ofsted standards.
Ideally for this role a registered manager with 5 years experience will be sought after but a deputy manager/ assistant to registered manager with 1-3 years experience would be considered . A level 5 leadership qualification in children and young adults is necessary for this role however a partially qualified deputy manager will be considered
