Your new role
Your potential new role as a Registered Manager requires you to be resilient, supportive, and enthusiastic towards your staff as well as the children and their needs. You will need to be passionate about your role and committed to fulfilling your tasks as the Registered Manager. In your new role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and ensuring the quality of care they are administered is consistent with National Minimum Standards. You will be required to establish and maintain a competent, motivated, and confident team of staff. You must be able to offer leadership managerial direction, guidance, and support to staff at all levels. As the Registered Manager you would be responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all members of staff and service users. You must be able to challenge any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any member of staff or service user on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, or any other difference. You will be aiding the children towards an independent lifestyle with the necessary skills they need in order to integrate smoothly into society. You will also be helping the children to develop their educational and everyday skills. We are seeking a Registered Manager that is in the Northampton area, are flexible and willing to work with an immediate start. This role requires you to be passionate about helping people and transforming lives to achieve fairness in society.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role as a Registered Manager you must be authentic, accountable, transparent and committed to your role, the team you will be leading and the residents. In order to excel in this role, you must promote equal opportunities for all. You must be able to address appropriately any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague. In order to excel in this role, you must ensure that each young person has a plan which reflects their care, education, social, emotional, cultural and health needs. The plan set in place must be regularly reviewed to ensure it adjusts according to the young person’s progression. You should be able to help the children reach their personal goals and learn skills they would need to live an independent life with aid of a care plan. You should be able to monitor the behaviour of the residents and report any changes you notice. To succeed within this role, you must be able to explain and clarify expectations in relation to maintain the home in a clean and orderly condition by creating rotas which allow appropriate handovers between shifts to ensure the needs of the residents are met appropriately. To excel in this role, you should have a NVQ 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (in progress) or equivalent. You must have evidence of 2 years’ experience working with children with 1 year experience at Senior Level in the social care sector, alongside references and an updated DBS. This role also requires you to be a full licensed driver. Overall to succeed you must be committed to your role and eager to make a difference.
