Qualified Social Worker- Northfield/Edgbaston Full Time

4x Social workers needed to help vulnerable adults within the Northfield & Edgbaston areas.

We’re urgently looking for 4x qualified social workers to join the team within Northfield & Edgbaston area. The team and role is to be based out the office; however, during the pandemic working from home will take precedence, but you will be required to attend community visits following the appropriate risk assessment.

Your new role
In this position you will need to be able to work in a fast paced environment and have recently worked as a qualified Adults Social Worker with experience in keeping and maintaining accurate records. You will have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable to pick up new and existing cases. It is imperative that you have an in depth understanding of the legislation underpinning Social work and be able to manage any challenges with appropriate methods which will vary from case to case. Primarily you will be managing backlogs, and cases that are awaiting allocation.

What you’ll need to succeed
Previous direct experience of delivering social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key legislation, able to produce reports and maintain records. To be successful you will require a Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent). It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 yrs experience working with adults in a Social Worker position. Knowledge of ‘CareFirst’ is ideal but not essential. Ideally you will have some experience with Mental Health.
