Key Responsibilities:
✅ Triage & Risk Assessment – Screening referrals, gathering information, and assessing risks using a multi-agency approach.
✅ Multi-Agency Collaboration – Working closely with police, healthcare professionals, education, and other partners to make informed safeguarding decisions.
✅ Safeguarding & Child Protection – Ensuring all interventions align with The Children Act 1989 & 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), and other UK statutory frameworks.
✅ Timely Decision-Making – Processing referrals efficiently to ensure children receive immediate support when necessary.
✅ Case Recording & Compliance – Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with local authority policies and GDPR regulations.
✅ Supporting Families – Providing guidance and interventions where early help or preventative measures may be more appropriate.
Requirements:
✔ Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE)
✔ Proven experience in Children's Services, ideally within a MASH, Referral & Assessment, or Frontline Child Protection team
✔ Strong understanding of UK legislation, safeguarding procedures, and threshold frameworks
✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment, making informed decisions under pressure
✔ Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
✔ Proficiency in case management systems and accurate record-keeping
