Senior Qualified Social Worker for Horizon Team in Coventry City Council, Child Exploitation, £33.30ph, hybrid

Coventry City Council is looking for an experienced children social worker to join the Horizon team, working with young people who are at risk of exploitation.

Your new role
As an experienced children social worker for the Horizon team in Coventry City Council, your main responsibility will be supporting children and families via CIN or CP frameworks and helping them understand what a healthy/ unhealthy relationship looks like. You will also cover grooming, online safety and from criminal to sexual exploitation. You will work as a part of a team with other professionals, such as other social workers, police officers and youth workers, developing effective working partnership with children’s families and carers.
As a social worker for the Horizon team, you will be based at the Broadgate House in the city centre.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be an experienced social worker – completed ASYE plus 1 year experience -, registered with Social Work England. As a future social worker for Coventry City Council, you will have knowledge of relevant children’s legislation and Social Care provision. Knowledge of statutory guidelines and current thinking on good practice is also required. You will be very committed, motivated, and well-organised, and you will be able to prioritise tasks to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
It is a requirement to hold 2 years post-qualifying experience in a Children and Families team, and to have recent experience in child exploitation.
