Your new role
We are looking for a enthusiastic Mental Health Social Workers with AMHP Status to join our Crisis Team. It is an essential requirement that applicants will need to be a Social Work England Registered Social Worker in addition to being a Qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). Due to the nature of the post flexibility is required to work outside of normal working hours in order to manage crisis and the ability to travel long distances as required. There will be an expectation to undertake shifts and on call as part of the 24/7 rota.
What you’ll need to succeed
Previous direct experience of delivering Mental Health social work to Adult Service users is essential. You must also have knowledge of key MH legislation, able to produce reports and maintain records. To be successful you will require an Approved Social Work qualification (BA Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, CSS or CCETSW approved equivalent) be AMHP warranted. You will have excellent with safeguarding and supervision experience. It is also essential that you have a current professional registration and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with adults in a Mental Health Social Worker position. Knowledge of ‘CareFirst’ is desirable but not essential.
