A local authority in the south coast dedicated to promoting health and well-being and reducing health inequalities are seeking to add an experienced public health practitioner to further enhance strategic planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a range of programme areas and services.
Your new role
You will be working as a Public Health Senior Practitioner to provide public health specialist leadership, manage team members and support elected members, council officers and external stakeholders across the broad spectrum of public health. You will be responsible for the financial management of public health, customer relationships , operational effectiveness & compliance and also improving organisational capability.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must be a UKPHR registered public health practitioner or on track to be registered within 3 years. You must also have significant experience of working in a senior public health or similar practitioner role with a track record of leading and delivering mental health programmes.
If you have any kind of background with a similar post in the military, police, nursing or environmental health – this post could also be for you.
