As part of the Youth Justice team assist in the development and delivery of an effective service to support young people who are persistent or serious offenders.
To take the role of keyworker for persistent young offenders or young people and their families, referred to the Youth Justice Team.
To take a key role or work in partnership with the case holder to assess risks and needs, complete assessments and action plans. Deliver a responsive service to young people using a variety of models as deemed suitable
Assume responsibility for managing a caseload which entails working directly with young people, their families, other organisations and agencies.
Engage in appropriate supervision and undertake suitable training relevant to professional development.
Undertake relevant administrative tasks associated with the role which will include entering data onto IT systems and report writing.
Health and Safety at work.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation.
Experience of youth justice work.
Experience of working with troubled and troublesome young people.
HNC Social Care
(i) work as a team member

(iii) liaise, plan and negotiate on a multi-agency basis.
(iv) effectively manage financial and human resources.
(v) make productive relationships with young people.
Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Willingness to learn.
Good presentational, organisational, time-management, written and communication skills.
Capacity to deal with other professionals.
An expansive professional outlook.
Ability to think clearly.
Ability to offer flexible working hours, including some evening and weekend work as required. Through the crisis response service, occasional overnights will be required.
