Required for 37 hours per week, on a fixed term basis for 6 months. Based in Council Offices, Stornoway OR Lionacleit Education Centre, you will be required to work as part of the Education, Skills and Children’s Services Department Resources Section using the local Community Learning & Development Services network in the Western Isles to compile a prioritised list of investment projects using the “National Principles for Playpark Renewal Programme” and to take Comhairle wide responsibility for consulting with the community and young people to determine the requirement for Playparks across the Western Isles.
You must be educated to Degree level or have equivalent experience in Community Development, along with knowledge of current issues in island/rural communities. You must be able to develop, monitor and evaluate Community Plans and be skilled in facilitating the participation of community groups.
A current, full, unrestricted, driving licence is essential.
The above salary is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance, and appointment will be on the first point of the grade.
