Following successful completion of the initial discovery phase of the Women Involved in the Criminal Justice System project, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of a test of change in the second phase of the project. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, this Early Action System Change (EASC) project aims to develop a system change approach to better supporting women who have involvement with the criminal justice system in Inverclyde and realise a shift towards earlier intervention. At the heart of this project are the experiences and ideas of women who have been involved in the justice system and crucial to this work is that it is co-produced, with women with lived experience leading at every stage.
The discovery phase has established the structure of a trauma informed test of change which will be responsive to the needs of women in Inverclyde, but which will retain the flexibility to develop throughout the delivery phase. Therefore, we are seeking a proactive and adaptable Project Manager who can engage with existing services and third sector/community organisations to support delivery whilst championing both a system change methodology and trauma informed approach to improving women’s experience within the criminal justice system. Understanding of the issues faced by women experiencing multiple disadvantage and the impact of trauma and a commitment to contributing to real change in these areas is key to this role.
The Project Manager will work closely with the project Community Worker to ensure that there is ongoing development of the Co-production Group and also engage with frontline staff involved in delivering the test of change. Furthermore, the Project Manager will support the leadership structure established for the test of change in order that the system change is effectively implemented. Guidance and expertise will be input by the project Steering Group.
This post is advertised for 23 months initially, but there may be a possibility for a further year of delivery.
