Principal Social Worker – Local Authority – Children’s Services

An exciting new opportunity has risen in North London for a large local authority within their Children’s Services Team.
Your new role
As the new Principle Social Worker within the Children’s Services, you will be accountable to the Head of Safeguarding for establishing a cohesive and high functioning social work workforce by implementing cultural change, and support the improvement of systems and processes to enable a high quality social work practice to flourish. You will be working with social workers and managers to enable the highest quality of practice that produces the best outcomes for children and young people. It will be required of you to lead on the NASS initiative and work collaboratively with the relevant stakeholders for its successful implementation.
In your new position, you will be taking a supportive role on inspection preparations and outcome plans for Childrens Social Care Services and for joint inspections as directed by the Head of Safeguarding, Quality, Impact and Practice. As the Principle SOcial Worker, you will support the continuous development of the Haringey Childrens Academy, and lead on the production of the annual social care and annual childrens services report.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful within this role, you will need;
– Social Work qualification recognised by Social Worker England
– Management experience
– Experience working with Children with disabilities and SEN partners
– Experience of influencing decision making
– Detailed understanding of current safeguarding policies and procedures
