Primary SEN TA required on a long – term basis – Wolverhampton Temporary

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant required in Wolverhampton from January. FTC to begin from January.

Your new school

You will be joining a Primary school in Wolverhampton who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs. The school is located within reasonable distance to the City Centre and boasts of on site car – parking for staff and access to local amenities. This position is to begin in January and will require that you hold at least a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification at a minimum.

You will be working during the school hours, from half 8 to half 3 and your time will be split between KS1 and KS2. You will be supporting a small group of 9 pupils in each class, and you will have the full support of the class Teacher present in both rooms. Due to the needs of the pupils it is essential that you have recent experience within a specialist setting or supporting students with additional needs. The school provides break out rooms and sensory rooms to provide a safe space for students when overly stimulated, you will be confident and empathetic in your approach adapting your needs to suit each pupil.

What you’ll need to succeed

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification at a minimum
Valid DBS on the update service
2 satisfactory references dated in the last two years
Recent experience within a Primary setting
SEN experience is essential for this role
