Primary Business Officer Full Time

Full Time Primary Business Officer to work across three Primary Academies in Chesterfield.

This role has been made available by a dedicated Derbyshire learning trust that currently manage four academies across Chesterfield. The trust collectively manage 1600 students aged between 2 and 18. This role involves the business management of the three primary academies. This is a great opportunity to work within a family of schools focused on supporting the needs of our individual communities, providing excellent education to maximise children and young adults’ life choices.

Your new role
The trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our hardworking and dedicated team.
The role will involve;

– Providing comprehensive Finance, HR and Data support to the three primary schools.
– Covering the receptionist role in the event of absence/ need of support.
– Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with all colleagues and communicate effectively and professionally in order to support the efficient and effective administration of the school.
– Working in partnership with the Head of Academy and the Executive Primary Lead and in liaison with the Academy Finance Support Service on financial management issues for the school.
– Managing the administration of the whole recruitment of all staff in consultation with the Head of Academy
– Carrying out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Chief Finance Officer.

What you’ll need to succeed
We expect the successful candidates to have:
* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
* The ability to effectively manage workloads within agreed performance frameworks
* A good administration background and knowledge of systems and legislation, with strong IT abilities
* Experience of working within a school office

Willingness and ability to travel between the Chesterfield sites on a weekly basis We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum and you will need to be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don’t already have a DBS on the update service.
