Personal Development Workers Required – Full Time/Part Time & Permanent

Your new role You will be working with a gentleman in his own home with complex needs who absolutely loves, singing, walking, and keeping to his routine. It is very important for the candidates to listen, be attentive, passionate about assisting him and all-round bubbly with a good sense of humour. Commitment, forward thinking and reliability is extremely important for this role as well as being confident and able to assist in instances whereby personal care may be required.
Further Information:
Assist the person you work for to take responsibility, where able, for maintaining their health, welfare and wellbeing on a day to day basis (across a range of daily activities at home and in their community). Investigate and identify appropriate community resources on behalf of the person you work for, which promote opportunities for relationship building, work learning.
Actively support the person you work for to establish and maintain social relationships and community participation. Assist the person you work for to develop and maintain circles of natural support. Working with outcome Based Support Plan, and working to agreed timescales. Assist the person you work for, their family members and circle person centred planning process.

The successful candidate should possess or demonstrate their ability and willingness to successfully attain the necessary qualifications for registration with the SSSC, for example, SVQ 2 or 3. They should be self-motivated and able to work to a high standard without the need for regular direct supervision. Successful completion, or able to demonstrate their ability and willingness to complete the Organisation’s core mandatory training. An ability and willingness to successfully complete the necessary qualification(s) for registration with the SSSC.
An ability and willingness to successfully complete person specific and any other training deemed appropriate for the role. Knowledge of person centred approaches and an ability to discuss this in relation to the people we work for.
