Peripatetic Care and Support Assistant, Barra – CNS02244 Part Time

Job Description

Required to work 16 hours per week, you will work enthusiastically as a member of a team that promotes and supports Adults with Support Needs to actively take part within local resources and facilities, this may include care whilst living within their own home, the admission to hospital, the discharge from hospital, admission/discharge to care homes, or within any other homely setting. This will involve the provision of a range of care and support activities and tasks as detailed in the Care Plan and in accordance with relevant risk assessments and management plans, to maximise their inclusion, independence and planned outcomes. This can be within a variety of settings and include the overnight support needs of a person where necessary. Care and support is provided 365 days a year, which the Peripatetic Care and Support Assistant will undertake on a planned and scheduled manner to meet the care and support needs of the individuals receiving a service.

Requirements

Experience of working with people with additional needs, a Driving Licence and SVQ ll in Care (or equivalent) is essential. In the absence of this you must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification 36 months after registration with the SSSC. 

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.  Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
