Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Claverhouse office, you will work part time, 16 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have completed/or have the ability to complete an 8 week peer 2 peer course.

Responsibilities

You will provide peer support (lived experience of mental health challenges) on an individual basis.

You will work alongside members of the Mental Health Officer team and under the direction of professionally qualified workers.

You will provide peer support during working hours, evenings and weekends as required.

The Individual

You will have lived experience of mental health challenges and the ability to share personal stories of recovery in a professional manner.

You will have good communication skills, both verbal and written, basic IT skills, understanding issues of relevant service group, good planning and organisational skills, and commitment to maintaining a high standard of support.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council
