Full PBM Trained – Support Worker – Neath – Full Time

A large, not for profit organisation that support adults living with Autism and their families. They are dedicated to offering hands on support to the people within their service and strive daily to offer person centred care and support to all service users, as well as their families and loved ones, to help to provide independence and maintain strong bonds with with community.
The organisation is currently looking for Support Workers to join one of their services in Neath, supporting individuals in a residential setting.
Your new role
You will be required to provide support to service in various ways, both at home and out in the community. You will be needed to support residents with daily tasks such as cooking and cleaning, as well as some elements of personal care, where needed. You will be a companion to the individuals, taking part in activities and assisting them in the community.
PBM training is required to support service users fully, and is an essential requirement for this position.
You will work on a full time rota of 37.5 hours a week, that will be spread across a variety of shifts over 7 days. You will be needed for morning and evening shifts, as well as long days,and will need to be fully flexible to these hours.
What you’ll need to succeed
It is essential that you have full and up to date PBM training for the facility, this is not negotiable.
You will need to be caring and compassionate and have genuine passion for supporting people.
You will need to have at least 6 months – 1 years experience working in a similar setting within the Social Care sector, ideally working with adults who are living with Learning Disabilities and complex health needs
