Location: 11 Willowdale Place, Aberdeen
Duration: Permanent, Full Time
To deliver a statutory social work service to offenders in the Criminal Justice System. Working as a member of the Unpaid Work Team, in line with National Outcomes and Standards, responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of Community Payback Orders with an unpaid work requirement.
Applicants should have a caring understanding approach and be able to work towards solution focussed outcomes
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
Educated to Higher grade or equivalent
SVQ3 in Health and Social Care or the ability and commitment to work towards this
Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG), willingness to join
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to produce high quality written reports and records and the ability to present at reviews
Ability to advocate and liaise with other professionals and appropriate agencies
Undertake risk assessment and risk management plans
Ability to manage constant and often conflicting demands
Ability to analyse diverse and complex information
Office procedures and administration and recording policy and procedures
The ability to operate as a member of a team and take responsibility for the
environment and the safety of service users
To provide the Court with timeous and accurate information and assessments
as per National Objectives and Standards for Social Work Services in the Criminal Justice System
Deliver the Community Payback Induction programme
