Operational Manager – Social Work Lead

Renfrewshire HSCP is delighted to invite application to our Learning Disability – Integrated Community Team for an Operational Manager – Lead for Social Work to work alongside a similar Operational Manager post for Health within this joint service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic and committed Learning Disability – Integrated Community Team at a time which sees significant investment at operational, managerial, and service levels to drive forward the commitments of our strategic plan (2022-2025) to enable improved health and wellbeing outcomes within our communities and strengthen our collaborative and partnership approaches.
We see both Operational Manager posts consolidating current service improvements made by our Learning Disability – Integrated Community Team and advancing specific Action Plans identified by our local Care Planning Group forums with key Partners including the ongoing development of our recently introduced assertive outreach model and shared focus in areas such as individualised rights and responsibilities, housing, employability, education, transitions, health and wellbeing considerations for people experiencing a range of Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and Autism within our community.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate effective leadership and managerial expertise to support adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism within Renfrewshire.
It Is essential you are educated to degree level in Social Work / Health or equivalent or hold a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent.
Practical working knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, budget management and the ability to work out with normal office hours if required is also essential.
This key leadership post has responsibility for a large fully integrated health and social work assessment and care management team with accountability for management, finance and budgets, performance and associated policies across Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration and has responsibility for statutory Adult Support and Protection work and activity.
As an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspirational leader with effective management experience in a complex organisation, you will support the Service Manager and the Head of Mental Health, Learning Disability and Alcohol and Drugs Recovery Services by leading and delivering on the outcomes of the strategic Action Plans for Learning Disability and Autism and provide leadership, vision and direction in the delivery and development within the areas of responsibility.
