The main purpose of the Occupational Therapy (OT) Technician role is to support the logistics of providing OT equipment across the Shetland Islands. This will include selection of appropriate equipment to meet identified need, delivery and installation, ensuring the equipment is suitable based on skilled observation of the environment and recipient. Also, to maintain and repair a wide range of equipment to maximise stock availability, as well as collection, cleaning and recycling of equipment upon its return to the service, ensuring all infection control policies are applied, and COSHH guidelines adhered to.
