Job Description

What is the role?

To provide assessment, therapeutic intervention, advice and information to people with illness or disability in order to develop, restore or maintain an optimum, realistic level of independence whilst supporting their carers and other interested parties. You will offer practical help and support to help people overcome problems in carrying out the day-to-day activities of their lives. You will provide a Reablement Approach to those who may have mental, physical, emotional or developmental/learning impairments. Ultimately to be an integral part of the Occupational Therapy

Team working towards enabling people to remain in their own homes by reducing risks and providing a safe environment.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10; the hourly rate is from £20.71 to £21.79 and the annual salary is from £37,796 to £39,767. 

• Post A – Admin Base: Troon Municipal Buildings (Covering Troon, Prestwick, Maybole & Girvan)
• Post B – Admin Base: Overmills Centre, Ayr (Covering  Ayr & surrounding areas)

Interviews will be held on 20th & 21st June 2022.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
